Pam & Stan are the Urban Survivalists. They bring you blog posts about projects they are currently undertaking in order to make themselves and their home a more sustainable place. The projects focus on Urban Sustainability–i.e. sustainability in an urban environment–and give detailed design and build information so that followers of the blog can duplicate their results.

About Stan: He is an undergraduate mechanical engineering student. Not only does he express a common interest in engineering of all forms, but also takes his interest into practical applications. Our home has numerous project starts and ideas poking around every corner, the largest being the RapRap. Stan has successfully built two rapid prototyping machines, and one of them rests in our home. You can see some documentation here. Amidst all the fun of studying he still finds time to do some juggling!
About Pam: She now works as a structural engineer EIT for a small company after graduating with a bachelors degree in civil engineering. She is skilled at learning 3d structural analysis software using it to implement quick and accurate designs. Her interests in engineering have lead her to learn about many earth friendly design options that she wishes would be implemented more frequently. Pam is also interested in painting and photography. You can see some of her work on redbubble and zazzle. She also has a personal blog here. She is seen below with the most loyal of calculators and her favorite tea mug.
