Hey Everyone!

So guess what! We have pretty much awesome news! We are DONE with the chicken coop. We have put the siding on and painted the coop to match the colors of the house. We think it looks super cute and have a lot of pictures to show you. Not only that, the weather is picking up here in Portland and it is getting HOT out. This means our garden is super happy. We have some pictures of that as well.

We put a new roof on the chicken run portion of the coop. This is to keep the run from getting too muddy when it rains and prevents the chickens from dragging in a bunch of mud and dirt into the coop. It also keeps their feed in the chicken coop dry in the rain.

Here is the chickens new hanging feeder, placed underneath the new roof.

This is the Thomas Kincaid Style photo of our lovely chicken coop, featured at dusk.

In this photo, we are putting cedar siding on the chicken coop so that it matches the way our house looks.

Here is the final paint job of the coop! isn’t it cute! We are sure that the chickens will never care, but we take a lot of joy in making the chicken coop look nice.

Hey look, a chicken!

Our garden is taking off nicely this summer as well.

Well, that’s it for now guys. We would also like to add a side note to this post. We have been making soap here at home for like 2 years now. We are going to write a post soon on how to make it. Until then check out the new store in the upper right hand corner. We are selling handmade awesome soap! Take care

Stay safe and sustainable
