Table of contents for Chicken Coop
Hello everyone! This week we added a new door to the coop and a pulley system for closing the ramp to the hen house. Other than that we have been watching our garden grow and fixing a few things that have broken on the house.
This is the front view of the coop, where you can see we added a new door to the left hand side of the picture. This is an opening to the storage area.
Here is a view of the storage door when it is open. We made it fit really snuggly so that rodents cannot get into the area.
Here is the ramp at the back of the hen house that lets the chickens into the run. We have installed a pulley system as seen with the ropes. This way we can close the hen access at night without having to go into the chicken run… where there is chicken poop!
This is an image of the way the rope to the pulley system is tied off on the outside of the run.
We are looking forward to being able to add the siding to this hen house soon and think that it is going to look nice when we get it all finalized.
