So we have been gardening like crazy this summer. Not everything that we planted is pictured here, just cause that is too many pics for me to process. We also are harvesting cucumbers, onions, herbs, peas, green beans, cauliflower, potatoes, and corn. In the next month or so we will have some brussels sprouts. Here is some pics of what we were able to grow:
The peppers finally took off with much baby sitting in the make shift green house. But once we got some hot weather, they produced these awesome bell peppers and a few jalapenos.
These are the dry shell beans we were able to grow in our garden. The dry shell beans did surprisingly well. The other variety that we tried to grow was adzuki dried bean, but it is actually still in green pods right now so is much slower to mature.
The tomatoes…have pretty much taken over everything! You can see one weeks worth of harvesting tomatoes here. Take a look at the plants…yeah there are still that many green tomatoes on there. This means we are going to learn to can tomatoes this summer!
Here are some other vegetables that we harvested. You can bunching onions and broccoli on left, carrots and lettuce on top center, tiny strawberries on right, and a head of cabbage bottom center.
Thanks for looking everyone! We have big plans for next year utilizing more vertical space in the garden and hopefully… tilapia. In case your wondering where the beginning posts of all these garden pics are, we apologize, they are with chicken coop build series. We were doing both projects simultaneously and should have created a separate category to avoid confusion.
